Why its the truth that needs the proof.

I dont understand where are we progressing these days. Improvement in technology, business, education, healthh and care and every aspect of life but still missing those basics of life which are crutial.One of those is today we need to question the truth to prove itself. I think thats ridiculous but still the world is going that way.Can anyone give me the reasons why it is so.Why do we need to prove we are correct and those guilty have the liberty.
