Lepers : A Pitiable Lot

Most people are not aware of the fact that leprosy is not an infectious disease and it does not spread by touching. Unlike many common beggars, lepers really deserve our sympathy. Call it help or call it alms, we should be generous towards them. We should put it in their hands properly and not just drop it. We should pity them more than any other beggar because their existence is worse than even the criminals undergoing life imprisonment. The criminals may join the main stream one day, but it is highly unlikely for the poor lepers even after they are fully cured.
