nuclear test has been done only to develop new atomic weapons! Of course they are dangerous for mankind, because you pollute very much, with some radioactive isotopes that are not present in nature ;( and last forever or thousand years! I'm very contrary to all nuclear tests! They are not useful for research...because a reaction happening in a nuclear test doesn't helps to improve nuclear reaction or develop new "hot" fusion reactors! They are only money spent in war and weapons...not for the future of mankind! Instead I am very interested in ITER project, hot fusion experimenti. Here is my discussion on cold fusion (and hot one too!) http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/463737.aspx In the second page there is the link to the ITER project. If anyone is interested...leave me a reply ;)

Yes and no also. If the nuclear energy is used for peaceful purpose then it's good and if used for distructive use then of course dangerous for mankind.
