I can't really say anything about it. If the other boys are doing fine then his number is gone for sure. But then also his experience also counts. He may have to do well in the internal games. But lets see.....after all Saurav Ganguly made his comeback. So we cant say anything.

Hi guys, just for a moment forget your individual loyalties and think for the sake of team india. Sehwag is a hand eye coordinated player and likes the ball coming on to the bat nicely. He is in poor form because his low self confidence is affecting his hand eye coordination. Also WI pitches are slow in nature and the ball doesn't really come on to the bat. So he will miserably fail in this world cup if chosen, letting down team india badly. We don't need his spin bowling also as there is tendulkar and yuvraj to do that. Moreover uthappa is performing creditably in his given chances as opener. In my opinion, instead of trying to insert sehwag in middle order, a technically sound batsman like kaif could have been given this final chance against the lankans. He was the best batsman for india when we toured the caribbean last time and is definitely a significantly better fielder than sehwag. Strange are the ways of the board. Thanks.

May be becauseof past records and influence, he has been taken into the team. They watch 2 matches, if he does not perform, the exit door is always open.

Veeru has been out of form for some time now. He is the kind of batsman who relies only on his hand eye co-ordination which is brilliant. On his day he can make mince meat of the best bowlers. Having said that there is a need to recocgnise that Veeru's weaknessess have been tapped too often by the opposition. In the recent series against SA Veeru was out even before he played any strokes with Pat Symcox's insistance "here he goes for the cut again". Veeru has developed another habit of making big totals when he gets flat batting tracks and where ball comes on to the bat easily. Some may defend these special Veeru innings but they also provide him with the license to perform inconsistently for a stretched period. Veeru needs to change something about the way he bats. Not the attitude but something in his technique he is too vulnerable and precious a player for India to loose. Again after saying all this my gut feeling is that Veeru will be selected for WC in the interests of the country as was rightly pointed out by someone in this forum.

Well.. You can't just judge a book by its cover We know the Sehwag has been in terrible form since the last 10-15 matches.... And its not doing any good for India... But we must not also forget that he is a strong master blaster and if we have sehwag and uthappa, dhoni and tendulkar in one squad, no one can stop us to win.... so its necessary for us to have sehwag in the squad... plus it will also increase the option of an extra bowler as well... My India team for the world cup would be: Sehwag Ganguly Tendulkar Dravid Uthappa Yuvraj Dhoni Irfan Pathan Agarkar Harbhajan Singh Zaheer Khan This way we got three pacers, 1 regular spinner, 4 part time bowlers: Sehwag, Ganguly, Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh....

i think he desrves a place in indian team because, all of us know the match in which he really scores in that match we dont have to depend on other batsman. so i think he will perform well in WORLD CUP
