Where is everyone?

Just flicking through all the Mylot pages... as you do...
and If you look at the user by rating pages there is only about 200 pages each with 50 people on.
200 x 50 = 10.000 people.
MyLot population is listed as being 68.517
So where are the other 58.517 people?

I am sure many people have join this site and then decided that they are not interested in doing this. It does get boring, reading all the discussion's about cheating, how much I've made, mylot rule's, sometime's I log on and log off right away because none of the topic's interest me.

I agree totally with you about it sometimes getting boring. I've only been here a couple weeks and it is hard to find a decent discussion. I now have a number of friends with notify turned on, and they make up 90% of the discussions I reply to. Since I've done this, the good discussions come to me, which is good since I'm a lazy bugger!

I was just browsing through the users by rating out of curiosity and stopped at 354 pages (the last 10 pages or so had users with 0 posts). That makes almost 18,000 users, but it's still nowhere close to the 68,000 they say are here. Interesting observation that you made!

Good computing. They must be somewhere. You could find a few if you respond outside you circle of friends. I have met even more people on the gabbly chat thingy. Made a new friend there too. If you find them let me know so I can check out some of their discussions. Might be something a bit new?!

You know, you're right about this! I wonder if that's the total number of people who have EVER been members. It doesn't actually say "active" members. There are a lot of people who join here and post a few discussions and then never come back. And there are a number of people who have been banned from the site. These people are probably all being counted in as active members. Once you're here for a while, you will notice the same group of people posting over and over again. I'll bet that there are only about 10,000 active members to count.

It's probably all down to the worlds time zones .. there is a HUGE membership in the Asian countries .. I would say a good 60-70% of MyLot members are from 'that side' of the world .. then there is the N American members .. the UK kind of sits on the fence between them all ...
Obviously at some point of other folks do go to bed .. while the UK is up and chatting away I dare say a lot of other folks are snoring gently ...

Well, I have 3 referrals and not one of them have been active on MyLot. I would imagine this is a perfect example of why your numbers don't add up. I'm sure there are a lot of members who don't take the time to participate.
