How do you add a background image to your profile?

I have noticed that some people here have very creative profile themes with background images and transparent modules. How is this done, as I cannot find it in the "customize your theme" section? Help me please!

Even I would love to. I thought it was simply some HTML thing, when I read some other post. And, I was not impressed as I know HTML. But now after seeing your post, even I can't figure out how to do it. You have asked a valid doubt. Let me know when you find out for yourself.

I have seen it done on here, so I know it can be done. I tried HTML also, but it didn't work. I'll let ya know if anyone has a good answer.
