My daughter has come home with another fund raiser thing for school. I understand the school need to do some fundraising but how much do they need to do. It seems like every other week my daughter is bringing home something she needs to sell. If they don't participate in the fundraisers they are made to feel bad. I will never forget going to one of my daughters book fairs. When it was over and the kids went back to there classroom the teacher said ok everyone take out your book fair books and read. Well about half the kids in class had no books to read. I went back to the book fair got a whole bunch of books and took them back to the class because I felt bad for those kids. My question is why do they have to make the kids that can't afford to do all of these things feel bad and like they are different from the other kids.

That's why they stopped letting kids dress up for halloween at school cause not all the kids could afford costumes, it's hard nowadays, my husband and i dont have kids and we have a hard time making ends meet- I don't know how some families do it. Unfortunately there will always be something to make kids feel different from one another- and with some kids it doesn't matter even if there is nothng different about a kid they will find something to pick on them for.
