i don't think you understand what is HTML and javascript functionalities if you compare them. cause both are clearly different each other. HTML is the standard of web visualization and every web page need it. you cannot build a complete and good web page without it. javascript is a client side language base on ECMA script and the functionality is to complete the HTML page, javascript cant stand alone without HTML, it is help HTML to gain control to web page which HTML can do itself eg: to validate a form element. Javascript,HTML,CSS,server side scripting has different functionality so you cant make a comparation among them, they're complete each other.

I think html and javascript can not be compared against each other. They both are very different from each other and have nothing in common. But!! If used together it is a lethal combination!!! Javascript is meant to be used with html for a better web experience. They both are the best in their own way and both go hand in hand.

Erh, do you know HTML and Javascript? I guess not since then you wouldn't have asked the question. You can't compare HTML and Javascript as they are two very different things. Javascript is a scripting language used mainly for verification in for instance HTML forms. HTML is a way of presenting data, and has nothing to do with scripting.

It's difficult t ocompare these languages because HTML is the basic language to build a web page and Javascript is a language client side that adds functionality to the web page.

guess what? you have no idea what are talking about! :) thumbs up to spectrasonic, neo2neo and Kicker55 The point here is this, HTML is the way we write the pages itself, is a laguage for documents, and JavaScript is a programming language that, in this case, interacts with the browser in order to enhance the site functionality, but there is no way to choose between one or the other, just like Kicker55 said, you're camparing two different kind of things.

Javascript. I think it's better. But, for beginner, I think HTML is the best because I think it's simpler than Javascript.

I guess they both go hand in hand, html is the basic thing , a tag format so that all the pages can be read and viewed on the internet, java script allows u to do a lot of interactive things like programmin n all, so java script is more beeter, but at the end its incorporated in a html page i guess. Thanks.

Javascript is by far so much better. You can do a lot more with it too. HTML is just basic stuff, can't create and amaizing website with just that language.

HTML is the basic for all of web programming isn't it? But to create an interesting and attractive web, Javascript is the right solution rather than HTML.

I don't think Javascript and Html competitng each other. Html is good for one thing, and javascript is good for another.

In depends on use. On network platform HTML is inhospitable, but in local system javascript is more efficient.

For me, Javascript is much better though I don't know how to use it. Javascript has a lot more features than what HTML can do. I know because I'm very familiar with HTML and I find Javascript more handy when it comes to special features in webpages.

i think java script is much better than html because java script execute on the browsers side of the connection instead of on the servers side so the security level on java script are much higher than html
