If you lived 5 hours from any family, and you were enrolled in college locally, your girlfriend of 4 years hd desided to turn violent. He's the only one with a job, so you have no means of moving out, and no place to go locally to get away. She has lied to family as to why there are problems between you. If everyday was misarable and overwelming. How do you get away? How do you stay focused on school? How do you rebuild your ego?

Everything is about PRIORITIZING the importance of one point to the other. Get a pen and paper, number it, 1 to 5, then start writing down your priority, then you can figure out the best solution in everything you worried about. If you prioritized school, then no matter what problems you may be facing, you can quickly quit on it and focus on your studies.. Ego,, hey, stop thinking about rebuilding..Cause it was never broken. Everything is only in your mind. Live one day at a time and stop worrying too much about your feelings.. Don't worry, everything will pass.. you'll see, you will get over it.

You have to leave the relationship. I don't fully understand your post though. Are you saying that your girlfriend in the only one with a job? You still shouldn't stay with anyone who is violent and abusive to you, even if it means taking a year of from school to get back on your feet emotionally. You could call your family and ask for help.
