Do you "dip" certain foods that some might consider "odd"? My weirdest "dip" is McDonald's French Fries and chocolate shake! I love those 2 together! What do you dip?

I love to dip my bread into a soft boiled or fried egg. I love to dip plain crisps into vinegar and I adore plain biscuits dipped in melted ice cream. I also like to dip ginger snap buscuits in my tea or coffee otherwise I might break my teeth when eating them.

That is so funny...I didn't know that other people dipped fries into milkshakes except for me...lol. On the occasion that I get to eat these food products my husband thinks it's stupid. Oh well. Has anyone ever heard of 'Arctic Circle?' They used to be in Utah...Oh, my goodness! They used to have a fry sauce that was to die for and I found out how they made it; they mixed equal amounts of mayo and ketchup, or maybe a bit more ketchup than mayo. It was so good and I still make it today, using it on fried fish, fries and just about anything you can fry up; even on fresh veggies...lol

Too funny.... I've always put a combination of ketchup and mayon on my hamburgers because I love the flavor of the 2 combined!!! And yup... look up and see all the others that do it! We are not alone in dipping our fries girlfriend! LOL

That is the best combo ever!!!!!! Everytime that I have a McDonalds shake I have to dip my fries in it. My kids love it too. It doesn't matter which kind of shake to me though - the egg nog and mint ones are great dippers too.

here in the philippines we make dip out of green mangoes, sliced tomatoes and shrimp paste. you can add sliced onions too, wow it is so delicious, you should try this. 1 green mango peel the outer cover, and sliced or dice in small cube then 1 tomato slice it also 1 teaspoon of shrimp paste, and 1/2 onion slice it too. mix all of them.. it is a good dip for grilled fish, grilled eggplant or squid, you can use that also for porkchops and grilled baby back ribs... oh i feel hungry,,, :)

My "dip" is similar to yours only it's Wendy's fries into the Frosty. Also, I dip Chick-Fil-A fries into a ketchup and mayo mixture. Another dip is any flavor Doritos into sour cream.

I've never tried that combination. It actually sounds kind of gross, but I can understand why it might taste good. The fries are very salty and the shakes are very sweet, and that can be a pretty tasty combination. Like kettle corn popcorn, only more extreme. ;-)

I love to dip bacon or breakfast sausage into maple syrup! I don't think it's weird at all, but perhaps others might. Anyway I always make bacon or sausage to go with pancakes just for that purpose. Cheers!

My Daughter is a "Dipper" every thing gets dipped in mayonnaise, from the usual toasted sandwiches , and sausages to donuts and chocolate. I've got use to it but her teacher hasn't and probably won't.

I personally don't like to dip anything weird together, I'm one of those people that usually doesn't want her food to touch until it's in my stomach! lol! My daughter however loves to dip carrots into chocolate icing! You know, the tubs of icing that you put on cakes? She'll open one of those, then dip carrots in it to eat! Yuck!!! Chocolate covered carrots are just not something I can even imagine eating! lol!

I don't dip a lot of foods but my little boys will dip food in anything. They will even dip cookies in ketchup if you let them. They love dipping. They always say "dip it". You can't have any kind of sauce around at all.

Well i dont know if this constitutes as being weird or not but i like to dip toast and cheese whiz in my tea. And my kids showed me a really good one they do with there lunch at school too. They always have fresh fruit pieces in there lunch or cake and pudding or yogurt. They dip the cake and fruit in the yogurt and the pudding and it is really good stuff.

Hmmm... I think toast and cheez whiz in tea definitely constitutes "weird". LOL I've actually heard of a couple different people enjoying cakes in their yogurt. It's a lot like the ice cream and cake thing.

I like pancake syrup on batter fried foods like chicken and shrimp... The chocolate shake thing works with potato chips but not french fries, for me. Oh, I like soft pretzels and mayonnaise or blue cheese dressing! :) I'm a cook and I always wind up tasting all kind of strange combos to see how they would work in an experimental recipe... You wouldn't believe how good some types of fish taste with a dusting of chocolate powder (unsweetened) right after broiling! :)

Ok, have to agree.. fish and chocolate powder does sound odd! Soft pretzels are just MEANT for dipping! LOL There's a lot that goes with them!

Chips in Faygo is "different"... sort of goes with that salty and sweet thing though that the fries and shake have so I might even like that! I love fries in ranch!

You are not alone! I do the exact same thing with french fries and chocolate shake. Lol. Hmm I know I have some really weird ones! I really like the taste of popcorn and licorice together. Everytime I tell someone that they look at me like I'm crazy. Lol I don't even know how I put the idea together! But oh well, it is very delicious; you should try it sometime!

I don't have anything odd like what I've read so far, but my 7 yr. old likes french fries dipped in plain yellow mustard! She likes ketchup too but when we go to IHOP she has to have mustard on her fries. Now, McDonalds fries I eat plain - no ketchup at all.
