PC gaming Vs Game Boxes

I feel that the PC gaming is slowly becoming thing of past.
The (high End) Games are slowly moving towards the game boxes (XBOX & PS). While the PC games are goes down phenominonally.
While some games on PC have (World)tournaments Counter strike,
But still it seems PC gaming is dying out.
I think that this can be changed by mode of Open gaming where the PC game creators are given some kind of compitition where only one game base is allowed(I.e OPENGL ,Direct x) they can compete for a good prize this way the game variety of PC games will increase and will bring gamer as well as games to PC

The main reason why PC games are on the line of extinction is that the joypad which easy & comfirtable to handle. Joypads also give you a vibrating effect which our standard (economical) keyboards & mice donot. Another point of attraction is their processor & graphics speeds. The Cell processor operates at 3.2 GHz. and the graphics card is 256MB DDR3 700MHz. and so on....
