I want to repair my own xerox copier. Does anyone know how to do that?

My husband bought an older black and white blueprint type copier and it prints "ghosts" and the prints come out very stained with ink or "dirty". It is an older model Xerox. I like taking things apart and seeing how they work etc. Has anyone done any of the copiers like that? Thanks, Lynda

I think you should check with the carbon container as it might be dirty
try cleaning and refilling carbon and then try

Thanks very much for the helpful information vipul2004. Not sure if it has a carbon container. It has a huge toner cartridge about 3' long. Will try to change cartridge. Thanks again,
