i have a cousin, her mom, my aunt, was so possessive that it pushed my cousin to do things without her mom's knowlegde. She goes out dating and lies about it, she never tells the truth to her mom, and keeps secrets from her mom. Now, both my cousin and my aunt are living a miserable life. My cousin now married with 2 boys and she is stucked as being a plain housewife, she married a man who does not even have a decent job. Any my aunt is stucked with the couple so unhappily.

Ya being a daughter,,i can say dat mothers get too overpossessive sometimes...even if i talk wid a guy on phone,,she asks me several questions,,n i think dis is nt only wid my mom,,but wid all mothers...they do all this 4 our benefit but its become too untolerable when it gets to extra over possesiveness...

I think if I have a daughter of my own, I will be a wee bit overprotective (I have a son), only because I know all the crap and dangers that young women face because I experienced it too.
