As the use & penetration of computer grows .The desktop numbers also go lesser. The amount of laptops being bought is increasing throughout the world phenominally. As my friend rightly says technology goes slimmer. One of the retailer told me soon the the laptops are going to replace desktops. Do you agree?

No I disagree, what I see as the future of technology is that there will be a desktop in the home, and other devices connecting to it regularly. Take a look at the iPhone for an example of this. I think laptops will fade away, although I had a laptop and loved it, and can't wait until my boss replaces it, I don't think they are the way of the future.

Well, no I don't agree. I have both and prefer my desktop to my laptop. I like to do a lot of work with images and editing scripts. I have to usually balance my laptop on my legs and the touch pad does not work as well as the mouse for editing images. So, I usually end up adding an exterior mouse which makes it even more awkward. In order for me to be comfortable for the work that I do, a desk is so much more convenient for me. I can see the benefits of a laptop being portable making it easier to take your whatevers with you. But, me personally I prefer the desktop any day.
