Inclusion of Sehwag in the Indian Cricket team

I am not a fan of him but he is better choice than youngster because youngster are too young and inexperience for playing in world cup. Sehwag is still India's best bet if you asked me. What you think of Ganguly and Sehwag as opener.

facts apart, we dont have a good pplayer who can swap virendra's posion. as we need really experienced players to face the west indian pitches. the pitches will be very hard and difficult for indian players. so any new or less experienced player will not help to get his best. so we need our experienced team though they are performing very bad. they are the hope..

I think he is selected to the WC because of his experience and match winning capabilities, and there is no other man to fill sehwag in the team becuse he can bowl when required.

You never know Sehwag.He can do anything.Just anything he wishes.If he is not performing well for some last played balls then it does not mean that he sould be stayed outside.If he has not done well for the last some matches then it doesn't matter.There is a psychological pressure for Sehwag.We all are epecting much from him and then he gets nervous.Moreover he has created a havoc of himself which is surely going to panic the players of the opposite team.What do you say?

I agree with you.But the selectors have alredy included him in the world cup squad.I dont know why are they including him in the side.I think it is just because he is a so-called senior player.He has been out of form for the past 6 months or so and did'nt even score a half century in the past 50 one days.He has been given enough chances already.But the selectors have still persisted with him,that too at such a crucial tournament-world cup.For the world cup they should select the best side because it is the biggest tournament in cricket and the whole country has hopes on the team.Dont the selectors have a responsibility to select the best team?And what do they do,they select a player who is a burden to the team.Even the opposition doesnt have to do anything to get him out.The bowlers dont have to try hard.He does that himsself.So I think the rest of the teams participating in the world cup will be very happy at the selection of sehwag.

yes you are right and i think that is the decision that the indian cricket team ie icc has to decide and make him to sit for one or two one dayer and then he has to be taken into the team and then he ll realize and if he does not perform well then he must be not added as robin utthappa is doing better nowadays their is a tough competition between the both.

We should not forget about the past i.e when he had given the fantastic partnership with tendulkar in the match against pak in last world cup ,he made us proud by winning the momentable match.I am confident that he will return to form before the world cup starts.. there is some more games to play before the world cup and he will proove that he is the one of the best player ..i am sure that if they droped him out India would be trouble to win the cup.......

s i do believe that sehwag must be included in the indian team.we all know he is a match winner that india has ever produced.it's just the matter of one knock and he is away. moreover he can useful as a partime spinner who could roll over his arm.he's also known as a partnership breaker

To be honest, Shewag was a fluke that suddenly stuck....Now he is no more a hero...It's waste to include him in the team....

Well Sehwag should not be included in the INDIAN team owing to his poor form but as all knows captain Dravid favours him so he will be back in the world cup.

ya.i think he should be included in the team.but at the same time he should have been tested to see whether everything is all right with him.we know sehwag is a dangerous player and can become bowlers' nightmare on his day.but now we will have to wait and watch when 'his day' comes!!!

I think that the selectors or may I say Rahul Dravid (as all know that Vengsarkar was not very enthusiastic about his inclusion) has done a wrong thing to include him in the world cup squad. It sends a very wrong signal and discourages other good quality players like gautam gambhir who has scored brilliantly in the domestic matches. Sehwag should have been asked in no uncertain terms to prove his worth in the domestic matches like ganguly was forced to do. It shows defensive tactics even before the big event has started. Also he is not a good middle order batsman and there is no place in the top with Ganguly and Utthapa settled there quite nicely.

every one has to be given a chance and so let him be out for some time

like gangully he has to prove himself man.

Dumbs still beating old drums........ By inclusion of such players youngsters as well as performers felt themselves nothing else than bullshit...... A non performer taged Allrounder now its pity on fair name of young blood like Gambhirs n overlooking experienced players like VVS Laxman.

he is crazy and feels proud about himself so forget of including him.

poor sehwag and lakshman. they thought they are as great as tendulkar or for that matter ganguli or dravid. they should have known one swallow does not make a summer. atleast they should now know that consistensy over long term is what makes some one great. not one or two glorious innings. for that matter kirti azad also played a great innings. dependability is what is needed

sehwag is important player for india . he is key to a good start . even if he make 40 or 30 he makes it very qucikly which is a boost . if at all if he makes 100 then india's score will surely be above 300. he is kind of player who regain his form quickly . so it is better to retain sehwag in the team
