Mine have taught me plenty. My son usually has to teach me the lyrics to todays songs that we listen to. And in all seriousness, it was when they were very small I learned its the little things in life that are most important.

Yes kids do teach us things every day. Not just the techie things that us older generation may not understand. But important things like patience, oh how I've learned to be patient. Self control when you want to just get in there and do it for them instead of watching them struggle. How to pick your battles and which hills do die on so to speak....just a few examples of how kids teach us something new everyday :D

My children have taught me many different things in life. The most important I think is patience. My son has taught me about music and what clothing is in and not in today. My children have also taught me that I am never to old to learn anything.

I agree with you there - just when I think I'm done learning they teach me something else.

They have taught me that I am funny. Strange that I never thought of myelf that way. It is a good thing and it has given me a new dimension of myself. Am thankful that they did teach this about me. My daughter often translates this new music too!

LOL when son #2 graduated he took his graduation money and purchased what he refered to as "a real computer" not the lovingly refered to dinosaur he had. He gave me the dinosaur but had to teach me how to turn it on and use the word program. A few years later when I purchased my own "real computer" my youngest, then 6 showed me how to connect everything and connect to the internet. Yep my kids have taught me things.

My kid teaches me something new each day, and it is usually on how to be a better dad without him knowing it or course. I also usually find that the older he gets the more soft I am becoming.

everyday my son reaches home from school he teaches me a lot of things.Things that he learned from school and new songs that i never heard before hahaha. But the most important thing my son teaches me is he reminds everytine of praying first every meal. There ae times that i forgot to pray before we take our meal and he keeps on reminding me to thank god always for the graces and blessings he has given us.

My kids more than anything else taught me patience and to admit my misteaks. I have learned that they are my legacy and that they have learned from me and my misteaks.

I think kids learn more today than when we were little. Bio-ethics, advanced calculus, English poetry. My children have discussed all of these things with me, and I have learned alot accedemically. As well as technology-like how to turn my cell-phone to vibrate. But I think the biggest thing I have learned from them is that as much as they disagree with me-I disagreed with my mmother, and they think I don't love them, or understand them, just as I thought that of my own mother. SO, the biggest thing my children have taught me is that my mother loved me, and tried her best to do what was right for me and my siblings.

my four childrens taught me how to forgive enemies,,,sometimes i saw them quarelling with their playmates and im just observing them how they handle when theyre in trouble...then i noticed that just minutes they resume playing..and i thought to myself why should i let a grudged to friends when even children as young as them try forgetting and forgiving their enemies as if nothing happens
