Now that I have learned of their unethical business practices, I have to make a moral decision not to patronize thier store any longer. Has anyone else made this decision? If anyone wants to know more about this subject I am sure you can quickly google (or search) the topic and come up with the results.

I love shopping at Wal-Mart. I can find some great deals there. I'm shop other stores as well for the same reason. I'm curious as to what you have determined to be unethical business practices. I mean actual proof not just accusations or rumor. I can say someone is acting unethical but without proof it doesn't mean a whole lot now does it?

Many and many of their "inside memos" have been leaked and as I said before, you can also search on this yourself on the internet. Not to mention their bullying business practices with other stores that are already established. You read all about it yourself.

I dont shop at Walmart, ever. I made the decision a long time ago that if a company feels that they can monopolize the market, treat their employees poorly, and do it all under God's name, I will drive 100 miles NOT to give them one dime. I have a Walamrt right by my home. I drive past it to go 15 miles out of my way to go to Target or Kmart. I do not care that I am saving a couple of bucks. If those couple of dollars went into an employees pocket or into their health care, I'd shop there, but it doesn't. I cannot for the life of me understand what the heck people are thinking when they go to Walmart in droves. They are giving nothing away, and to be honest if you comparison shop, the other major stores have very similar prices, but better quality.

i completely agree, and you totally put into words what I think also. I also go way out of my way to avoid this store. It was hard at first, but now it's no sweat at all.

I wish that I could make a decisiion like that but here in my rural area Wal-Mart is all that is available. When they moved in to town it shut down every small buisness in town and they are that is left.So kudos to you for being able to make a choice that will maybe force them to change.

I have not ever shopped at Walmart, and I will never do so. I will not take advantage of savings that means that I am causing someone else harm. ...there are the employees of Walmart - who are treated like subh-humans... ...there are the slave laborers who make the products Walmart buys... ...there are the workers and owners of small businesses who lose thei livelihood because of Walmart... All for the mighty Walmart Buck, And we allow it to happen! Not only do we allow it, we JUSTIFY IT and DEFEND IT because 'we can save money'. Drives me nuts.

It's amazing to me how some people can justify anything if it's for their own personal benefit (no matter how small the benefit). Kind of how so many drive SUV's--thinking well, so what if it puts others in danger? You won't say "so what" if you find yourself on the other side of the law due to your own negligence. Some people!!!
