why my drive have lot of drive????

my notebook today has changed huh..... before these i only have drive A: c: D: and E: today i see A: to Z: uhh i have scanning using antivirus and nothign virus founded what happening? i believe these virus partition but why not detected by my antivirus? i have using panda antivirus, norman, norton, kaspersky help me if any idea for remove all of the drive and keep what i need only. thanks

Try booting in safe mode first because when you're in normal mode there are restrictions. When in windows safe mode you can scan again for viruses. I used NOD32 as my anti-virus program. If there's nothing there then use partition magic and try to remove those unnecessary drives. If you really have no choice, save your documents and format to be sure that all viruses, trojans are expelled.

You can also try using Tuneup Utilities 2007.

uhmmm i do all what you said last maybe must save the data only and lost a few software i installed on my system i thinks must fdisk again my hard drive for clean all from these virus hikss thanks for all your helps my friends

Try using drive mapper form partition magic from powerquest to identify those fake drive... Or it might just your faulty windows installation... I'd recommend using Linux...

I think it was virus! how much drive add into your computer? is it A-Z? in some case check your USB plug sometime if you put flash disk or another card it will signed as drive. but if you not plug anything it must be new virus. I never hear this before could you more specific on detail so I can help you.

all unpluged, like falsh drive and memory card. but the drive still there a: to z: i am agree with you its a virus, but how can i get my notebook back normal without lost my data? if must reformat or fdisk my notebook hmmm i must buying new software cause a few software on my notebook can install 1 time only i have scan using avg, norton,panda, norman, kaspersky but no one detected thats virus help me please thanks

do your notebook have a card reader ? or you plug a card reader? i think the drive come from that card reader.

yes i have the card reader but i have unpluged thats from my noth\ebook. its same always have drive A: to Z: any idea please cause my notebook run slowly now thanks
