I don't know if it is just my mentality, but being fat isn't bad is it? There are a lot of very attractive large Men and Women out there, that just seem so huggable! and, then when I see one of them getting ripped into because of their weight, I think it is just so unfair! I mean, they really are beautiful creatures! I was a fat kid, and it was depressing, and then I grew up, and lost it. but you know, I never hated it. the funniest part, was that I seriously wanted a thick husband, and got a little one. LOL! I still love him though! I guess this shows how different and unique we al truly are!

people are people, we all come in different sizes. People who critise others for their size have issues. We can all get on together, its just a case of celebrating difference and diversity. If we can manage this, then all the problems of the world fade in to the background

Oh man! I like that thinking! you see, it is very true, as I keep telling my nephew! and you know, he doesn't need to worry about it, and neither does anyone else! not everyone drives the same car, so, we shouldn't all drive the same body either!

Thank you, that was very nice to read. I've been overweight most of my life. I've gone up and down but once I had hit puberty that was it. Before that I was a healthy size child, neither skinny nor fat but then puberty hit and I put on the weight. I don't eat a lot but it doesn't seem to matter. I just can't lose the weight. I've gotten to the point where I really don't care about it. I know I'm heavy set and that's ok. People can like me or not, that's their choice. It's just really nice to hear that some people think it's ok that it's not that big of a deal.

It really isn't a big deal! you know, I know some people who have prejudices, but I think it is uncalled for! I got teased terribly when I was a child, I wasn't a bully or anything, and I was taught not to be! I wish I was though, and I know that sounds terrible, but I think it is drilled into us to be "better" tan the next person, but it is only an illusion! I have a nephew who is quite chubby for his age, and he gets it terribly! his mom and I were talking, and I told her, you know, he shouldn't have to put up with that crap! And you know what? it took two weeks before he became the most popular boy in that school! Now, he doesn't have to worry about things!basically what happened, is someone was calling him names, and I think he decked the kid. yeah, he got in trouble that once, but he was never picked on again! now emeraldisle, I know you can handle your own, I've heard you challenge those smokers, and it was beautiful! excellent job! so, I don't worry about you a bit! (I hope you don't get calluses on your hands for patting yourself on the back too much!)

Traditionally, health practitioners have focused on diet and exercise – and a large dose of willpower – to treat the problem. However the scientists from top US and Canadian universities say that these other factors must be considered. Lack of sleep could be partly to blame, they say in the International Journal of Obesity. In recent years, the average night's sleep has dropped from nine hours to just seven.

My very own bestfriend is also slightly overweight but when I look at her, she is beautiful. Because of her kindness, compassionate nature that I can't wish for a dear and good friend like her. She carries and dress well too. I once to be a chubby girl too. I lost my baby fats when I reached 18. 'Till this day, I remain thin. Fortunately, people respect what my body looked like then. I agree with you about people staring and staying away from fat people. Its just not right. Remember, fat people are beautiful. Cheers...

Nah! I don't stay away from fat people! I just don't know anyone who is, anymore!(except online) I guess I should just look harder, LOL! I think our society is screwed up a little. and, I am really serious about that. A lot of kids grow out of it, and a lot of adults grow into it, It does not mean it is necessarily a bad thing! One of my best friends who doesn't live near me anymore was heavy, but she was beautiful, inside and out! for 15 years, I watched her go from skinny to fat, and back again, like a yo yo! I knew it bugged her, but I didn't think any different of her.I mainly posted this, because there was someone slamming someone about being fat on another post, I was so appalled, I didn't even want to comment, maybe she had a bad experience, LOL! itis interesting how some peoples views are, I guess everyone has to have their own devil or something to attack, LOL!
