when we delete images in our digital camera,where do the images go?

i am just curious,where do the images go when we delete pictures in our cellphone and digital camera?can we still retrieve deleted images?

Oh,the pictures in memory just means zero or one.If you deleted the pictures,you just changed the digit marks in memory.AS i know,there's some software can help you restore your deleted images.

I dont think thats correct my friend. I am not trying to show you wrong but the thing is when we delete an image its not that we replace it with 0 or 1 its just that the pointer is removed and the image or file will be there in the memory. Its just that we cant access at that time. But using cetain softwares we can regain the pointers to those files. Just for the info my friend...

I am not sure about the digital camera but i know there are some softwares using which u can get the deleted files from the system. The data will not be deleted from the disk permanently until its fully formatted. I have no idea about the camera softwares.
