Dating someone from work

I have a friend in our workplace who is attracted to another co-worker. She is in the process of forming a connection with him. However, I have some concerns that I have not voiced yet to her. How okay is it to get into a relationship with someone at work? Are there any problems or awkward scenarios that could come out of this? Share what you think of this situation.

Depends... I have two relationships (one is far behind me) from work(s). One lasted two years and it turned out better than we thought. Same thing with the other one - both of my collegues and I got a better commnication with them after we started dating;
We understood each others obligations better and, of course, spent more time together :}
It's just my case... Certainly it all depends from their personalities.

Base from my experience is not always a good idea. My husband had a couple that works in the same office, and they argue most of the time.
