They say that a big belly laugh does more than make a comedian's reputation - it makes your body healthier, as well. According to Paul McGhee, PhD, a pioneer in humor research, humor is a mental experience and a laughter is a physical act and both stimulate the immune system to prevent you from getting sick. They can also reduce chronic pain and help prevent heart disease by actually enhancing your blood vessles' ability to relax and dialate, improving your blood pressure. According to McGee, there's also stron evidence that laughter causes muscle relaxation. So, please share with us your laugh-out-loud experiences, not only to make our day brighter, but for our health as well.
