I was reading a post about someone discussing Wal Mart and K mart. They mentioned Kmart being messy with boxes all on the floors, no one to help you. I thought maybe they live around me because THAT sounded like my local kmart! Seriously anytime i go to kmart- which is far and few- i can not get down most aisles because of boxes all over the place. There is usually one checkout lane open. Never any sales people around to help you. Their "sales" are far from a sale. The other checkout lanes are usually bocked with boxes, as if they are used for storage instead of people checking out. Are ALL kmarts like this?

The K-Mart by me is pretty clean-but it doesn't get alot of business-and usually only one register is needed because of this fact. They do have nice stuff sometime's just not alot of great deals. I rarely go to k-mart. I live in a small town and everyone heads straight to walmart 1st over any other store here. My walmart stays very crowded all day long because it's like the main attraction being in a small town, The best time to go is late night or early morning.

i can understand them having only 1 register open when its not busy but when it DOES get busy they cant open other registers because the aisles are blocked with boxes. and yeah like you supercenter walmart equals fun in a small town! If you havent seen a friend in 10 years, hang out at wal mart for a couple hours. youll see them there!

We have both Wal-Mart and K-Mart in close proximity to our home and we always choose Wal-Mart. Anytime we have tried to shop at K-mart the store has been an absolute mess and it just reeks of a dollar store mentality. Wal_mart used to be the same but in the last couple of years have really cleaned up their act.

Oh good lord, dont even get me started on K-Mart. I hate that store so bad. There prices are so high & there "sales" please, thats not a sale. The Kmart that I use to go to wasnt to junked up but the customer service is non-existing. If you want to find something, you would have to ask at least 6 differant workers. Of course all of these send you to a differant isle then in the end you find out that they dont even carry the product you wanted in the first place. I think the only time I will go to K mart now is for pictures. They have a Olen Mills stuido in there & they make some good pics for the price. I dont shop there because there stuff is to high & the customer service stinks.

I recently started working at Kmart. I can say that this one in particular has changed their attitude and store in general around as a whole. The customer service at this Big Kmart definately exceeds the customer satisfaction then our Walmart Supercenter. As a matter of fact, on one of my first days there as a cashier a customer said, "wow, you should go down to Walmart and show them how to have manners and be nice". I guess it all depends on what part of the country you live in, and how the town is.

I work for Kmart. On the "back wall". Sucks! Whoever is in electronics, stays in electronics. The other unlucky person has to cover the whole back wall. From sporting goods, to bicycles, to furniture, to DIY, to automotive, to layaway. And other departments that have no one on schedule. If you are a guy, you get called to gather carts. They expect you to do all of the above, and complete your lists. Impossible. I am supposed to be a new department lead with no raise. Can't find the time or hours to lead my department. Budget cuts. God, I hope I can find another job this week.

I worked for Kmart-- for 1 MONTH! I ran the entire service desk, my boss yelled at me daily because we had long lines-- which was because there were NOT enough cashiers! (Ahem, maybe you should hire some MORE cashiers? Just a thought!) One day, I ran 2 registers at the same time, answering phones and doing returns, and the asst manager called down to ask how many SYWR our store had for the day, I told her I had 20 people in line, and could it wait a minute? GUESS NOT--I got the yelling at of a LIFETIME! 3 days later,After being yelled at for calling in sick ONE time with the flu-- I decided to QUIT!

They must be, I have not been in the kMart for years because the place is so disgusting, then they insist on being open every day 365 days a year. Like they are are so busy and important and their employees don't deserve a holiday. I think the store is disgusting and should be closed.

I hate Kmart. For one my bf works there, well he was running a fever of 103 degrees. He called work telling them that he wouldn't be able to make it in, they told him he was really close to getting fired! He had a freaking temp of 103! So he went to work anyways, he ended up going to the hospital after an hour of being there. Also they throw brand new things away, just because they didnt sell and they are last season.....my bf had to throw away baby blankets and clothes.... umm hello baby clothes dont really go out of season..... I mean there is a freaking Goodwill right by it, might as well give it to them. And another time there was a stroller that had been left there for 4 months by a customer. They were going to smash it so my bf asked if he could take it cuz we needed one, they said no and immediatly crushed it. One of the managers where I live is an ex stripper and not a very nice one at that. I mentioned walmart and she said "SSSHHH." What? I know my bf works there but she cant tell me not to talk about walmart. So now everytime I go there I talk about walmart and how they have lower prices and stuff. The manager gives me a dirty look, but I don't care.
