How do you use a credit card imprinting machine?

I have to work for my son's book fair at school today and they have given us no training. I will be using a credit card imprinting machine--the old style manual kind. Can anyone give me some direction on this? I've never used one before. Thanks!

you set the four rotating wheels to the correct date, put the card in the little square slot it fits into usually upper left corner of machine, lay the receipt slip carbon and all down over card and in the slot it fits into then slide the movable arm foward (left to right) and the back (right to left), then you fill in the info on the receipt (invoice#, cost, tax, etc)... and give the card and his copy of the receipt.
