I read a post the other day that stated that most people were here just for the money. That has not been my experience. Last night I was really down and asked for help. I had nearly 40 responses. Everyone was positive, helpful and very supportive. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/757772.aspx I made it through the night last night and there is oil in the tank now. I bookmarked all of your suggestions, ideas and links and I am busy checking them all out today. As I lay shivering last night it warmed my heart to know that there were people who cared and were praying for me. You guys helped make a miserable experience a little easier. Thank you! DD

I hope you are doing better today. I know how it feels to be depressed and have problems in life. I agree with you about myLot and friends. When I first started I was so interested in making a lot of responses and get my ratings boosted. Now I really look forward to just responding to discussions that have an interest in. I like to come here and respond to my friends discussions and also I look forward to meeting new friends each day. Take Care things have got to get better.

I started out the same way. I just wanted to make a few extra dollars. myLot has become a part of my day. I have made several friends and love how supportive everyone is.

On one of my posts, I started off with talking about my day yesterday - just a little opening story, mainly to explain why I hadn't posted anything the day before. All of my regular Mylotian friends commented on my day, suggested where I could find what I had been looking for all day, and generally just engaged in friendly gabbing. Then I got a response which asked 'Why did you post about your day? No one on this site cares about that!' and I was a little bit stunned. Since obviously people did, as it had filled a couple pages of discussion. And it struck me again that some people really don't see this as a social community. And I feel badly for them. Mylot: Come for the money, stay for the people!

It is great to know there are people out there wanting to be myloters instead of mylooters. I have only been on here just under a week and already i find that there is a great community of users who use this online function, and if that isn't good enough for you you can also help them!
