I'm afraid there are a lot of people out there that remain in abusive relationships, either for the sake of the children or because they're too afraid or financially strapped to leave the relationship. I knew a girl in college who went from one abusive relationship to another. She seemed to like being abused. She'd come back to the dorm beaten black and blue, but she'd never leave a guy until he broke up with her. Go figure!

Yeah that seems to be how it is. If they are with one abuser they seem to be attracted to other abusers. Thank You.

I wouldn't stay. I would seek help go leave the situation and to get a better start. Everyone deserves a safe and decent life. I know it is hard to leave, I use to volunteer at an abuse agency.

I alwasy said I wouldn't stay either, until I ended up in that situation myself. For a long time I didn't see myself as being abused because I always fought back. It wasn't until the relationship ended for other reasons that I realized what had been going on.

I think alot of women don't realize the abuse especially if it is being put down all the time. I am glad you got out of yours.

Yes I am too. It made us better people dont you think lechy? I do agree that sometimes people dont realize how bad the abuse is before it gets real bad.
