I went to Rome 9 years ago, and I enjoyed my visit there. I got the chance to visit many of the famous sights for instanse the Colosseum, St Peters basilica, Fountain trevi and the Spanish stairs. I was able to stay with a friend of a friend, so I didn't have to spend a lot of money on a hotel room. Before I went to Rome I visited a friend from a village in the northern part of Italy, and there was a huge difference between her village and Rome

I have never been to Rome. I would love to, I'm sure I will enjoy touring it. If I do get to visit it as a tourist, I shall of course be expecting it to be expensive. I don't understand the stressful part - I guess you mean living and earning there as a permanent resident or citizen?

I live in Genova, and I went to Rome several times. I think that it is really fascinating especially in the evening when it's lightened up.. it's true that it's stressful and expensive. I love this city, in particular Parioli, Colosseo, Circo Massimo, but there are some areas where it's frightening to go to. besides, there is a great pollution, and it is not very healthy. I would like to come back just to go to visit CinecittÃ
