You should be well versed in the usage of the computer to enter into any university nowadays since it'll be a very important skill to pick up but it isnt necessary as a requirement i think.

Is it computing sir/maam? Or is it computer knowledge?
I think computer knowledge is not a compulsory for practicing medicine but it will sure make your life a lot easier. Imagine yourself using a typewritter typing a report about one of your patient's condition then suddenly you make a mistake or forgot o add something before. With a computer you won't have to go through those trivial hassles.
It's like using a cellphone or a pay phone. Do you walk a kilometer or 2 to the nearest pay phone or do you just get your cellphone out and dial? They both have the same effect but one machine does the job faster, easier and efficiently.
