Tony Dungy has proclaimed his faith as a stronghold. Now certain people question whether he should use his position as a professional coach as a platform for his faith...

Who's right is it to question this? What makes me mad is you see all kinds of movie stars and so fourth doing the same thing for this or that even if its not regarding religious views. Take Tom Cruise for example he pushes his church of Scientology but you don't see people yelling and screaming that a movie star should not be promoting what his faith or lack there of is do you? If the man is a believer he has the right as an American to be a believer wherever and whenever he wants to. I look up to coach Dungy and think he's an amazing role model for young kids and grown ups a like!

Who are we to say that anyone cannot profess their beliefs as long as they are positive. I agree with the previous response totally. There have been a lot of sports figures who have professed their faith.....Muhammed Ali, Kareen Abdul Jabar and the list goes on. I see no harm in it as long as they live up to their standards. However, if such profession is used for publicity or to gain more attention then I would find that somewhat undignified. The proof is in the pudding and those that listen to him make the choice of whether to agree or disagree and choose their own path to travel. There is nothing immoral about publicly pronouncing his faith, on the contrary, it shows character and promotes honesty and morality to those who have not been subjected to a religious belief. Faith can move mountains.
