according to an email of a friend, this is from the new york times... no one noticed that a publishing firm's employee had been sitting dead at his desk for five days even he shared the room with other 23 workers. the 51 year old George Turklebaum worked as proof reader for 30 years, had a heart attack on monday but nobody noticed until saturday morning when an office cleaner asked him why he was working during the weekend. according to his boss, george is the first guy in the morning and the last to leave at night so no on found it unusual that he was in the same position and didn't say anything. he was always absorbed in his work and kept much to himself. a post mortem exam revealed that he had been dead for five days after suffering a coronary.

I're read this email too. It's really so morbid to hear this story. But do you think this is the sole reason why no one noticed? I mean if you have freinds in the office, Im sure they would check up on you?

This is simply disgusting. One thing that we can understand from this is that people have forgotten everything in the run for money. One does not even the fellow worker who is sitting near. If this pattern continues that would really take the world to a very bad situation.
