Does God exist?

hey guys me and my friends were just talking about religion the other day and one of my friends told me,"how do we know God exists?"and dats when it hit me...she had a point..there was no proof that the bible was actually real..or to say the bhagavad gita or the kuran...i mean..yes..ppl can say it was written and history shows it...but then how can we ever say its true or not?i mean..the bible itself was edited earlier on and some books were deleted...so how can we say its all real?how can we say that god even exists??
