Here in our school, everyone seems excited about this day. I don't quite understand why but it was never like this before. Could it be because more people have love lifes now than before? Everybody are wearing red! I never really actually felt the chill of the Vday before until now, it creeps me out. But I guess, at least couples have a reason to be nice to each other for once. :)

You said at least couples have a reason to be nice to each for once. I think this should be a daily ritual. Showing a person you love them is very essential. People crave to know that they are loved especailly in a relationship. It doesn't mean anything if the only time you are told or showed you are loved is one day of the year. In my book if you only do it that one day it is for show.

No, it's not important to celebrate Valentine's Day. It's just a day like any other day. I found it funny that you worded your discussion to only one answer though.

I don't think that valentine's day as such is important because why should only one day out of the year be designated to show someone you love them. I think it should be a daily accurance. Everyday you should be telling your loved one that you love them and showing them in small ways. You don't have to buy something to show your love. Slip a piece of paper in their lunch that says I love you, taking out the trash without being asked, helping with the household chores. These are all ways of showing you love someone and they don't cost anything and these reminders should be done on a daily basis not just on one day of the year. I think that Valentine's day is just a way for manufactor's to make big buckets.
