my dad

my dad is 83. I am beginning to feel that I have not spent enough time asking him all the things he has learnt in his 83 years, but I am worried that if I start grilling him now it will look like I think he is about to die. The longer I leave this the harder it gets and the more likely that I will never get to ask him.

I'm sorry to say this but he is 83 and you may not get your chance to get along..and I think you should. Just don't make it like an interview..you'll be fine:)

you're dad is old and let's face it, he won't live on earth for hundreds of years anymore. i hope you take the time to spend more with him. and grab the chance to ask him everything that you wanna ask. time will come that when you wanted to know something, he won't be there to answer them anymore. i hope you get to have more great years with your dad!

Your father is probably waiting to hear your questions! Did you ever think it would be a nice way to get to know each other and spend some time again? Dont be paranoid, go over and say "Dad, I've got some questions about this or that when you were younger". I bet you spend hours talking! Old people want to communicate!
