... on the discussion "My daughter was told she was too fat to be promoted." She was over at our house last night and I logged into Mylot so that she could read through all of your comments, which almost all were very supportive, kind and offered great advice. Thank you!!! She called in sick today to more or less think things through. However she told me that she thinks she will go in tomorrow ask for a meeting with her boss and confront him on a professional level about this. I told her to record it or ask if another employee could sit in. She is also going to prepare her resume and start looking for something else immediately, she cannot afford to quit without another job as she lives on her own and does not want to move back with her parents. I am still trying to convince her to report the company after leaving, and she said she most likely will. I told her that she would be saving another young woman similar heartache in the future. Thanks again very much from both of us, especially to those of you who shared their own similar experiences. Your well wishes and thoughts are more valuable to me than any money we are being paid here.

You are very welcome. She didn't deserve to be talked to like that.

No, that was definitely creepy. I'm personally feeling better now that she has made the decision to look for something else. I mean who knows what this guy is capable of pulling after that.

Great to hear. I'm glad she is looking at other avenues and you never know she could get an amazing job and then later thank God that things turned out this way. We will just have to hope for the very best for her.

I am soo pleased you convinced her to stand up for herself, well done! I know it's going to be hard for her but it will be worth it for her in the end, and if it saves someone else too them it's a little miracle. Please let me know how she gets on!

Good for her! I'm so glad she read the discussion and could see how many people were outraged on her behalf. I hope she finds another, better job very quickly. As for you, you're a great Mom to be so concerned about your daughter's well-being. WTG Mom!

Thank you for your kind compliment, but I'm certain any Mom or Dad for that matter would be similarly outraged and concerned. My ex-husband has not even heard yet (my daughter's father) he too is a business owner and I'm certain he will be equally outraged and will want her to quit.

Hi Sue, i just left a comment over on the other discussion for you. I hope that all goes well for her. If it does it should boost her self esteem a bit. Good luck and I think she will find a better job with people who appreciate her.

Glad to hear your daughter's acting with her feet and walking! If she can handle sticking it out till she finds another job it would be better for her. In the meantime if she can get that moron on record saying that stuff again she'll have more evidence should she want to take it further. x
