why bother making a new discussion?

if your main purpose here is making money, why bother creating a discussion? while the easiest way to make money here in mylot is posting responses to other people's thread.

Posting discussions is what will make you more active, and the more active you are the more your star will move up and then the chances you will earn better. Posting discussions will help you trust me, I am experienced in myLot. Writing 2-3 discssions a day won't hurt, but it's all p to you in the end.

is rating has anything to do with earning? or is it just a popularity symbol? thx

Yes to both your questions. A higher rating helps your earnings and makes you more 'popular'. And I use popular in the sense that people will know you are a good 'mylot citizen'. There is a complex calculation that mylot uses, but no one knows it.

well, there are a few reasons. If you start a discussion which gets lots of responses, it then gives you the opportunity to respond to them. So you are actually creating a way to post more. Also, I believe, regardless of what others say, that a discussion with lots of responses helps your rating. When you have a good rating, you earn more. Although I can't prove that. Just my two cents...or three...

well almost all of us dont know how mylot calculate our earnings but from what i observe being here for three months you can earn more by making discussion and added the responses it can get. and rating is a good sign of being a quality poster. if im right rating is base upon how others rate you with your responses and discussion made.
