I've been trying so many times plant some tulip bulb. In the first year the tulip bulb will produce beautiful tulip flowers but sadly on the second year and the year after they didn't produce flowers. Only thin leaves, small, and no flowers. Why??? Does anybody know???

Do you have then in pots? Are they crowded?.....If you have them in the ground? Could me moles, they like my tulip bulbs to , so I dig a hole big enough to hold a 5 gallon bucket. put small drainage hole and some rocks in the bottom of the bucket and place your bulbs in it. Every couple years you dig them up easily and remove any that may crowd.

I love tulips and narcissus. As a matter of fact, I plant the whole garden (in the ground and in big pots) with them. More like a tulip and narcissus field when them bloom. In some places, I put first chicken wire on the bottom, then the soil then the bulbs. I thought it might be easier to dig them up at the same time. By the way, when usually to dig them up ??? after the leaves turned yellow or right after they tulip bloomed ??? It is kinda frustrated sometimes waiting for the leaves turned yellow, took long time. And my garden turned really big messed. And I couldn't plant any other plant on top of them. Do you have this problem as well ???
