Would you go to jail for a relative?

I heard this on the radio somewhere and there was a situation where someone's relative had recently been in jail and was released and now on probation. This person drove his uncles car and was stopped by the police (not sure why) and they found drugs in the car. The person said he honestly did NOT know the drugs were there. I think he was just going to the store or something I am not sure. It was said that if the uncle got into anymore trouble then he would get 10 years in prison. What would you do...would you tell the police that it was not yours and it was your uncle's? Or...would you take the charge and go to jail for him?
