Are there any questions that you have for me, since I have asked you all I have for this interview? This one has often stumped me. Would have helped to know what kind of company you are interviewing with too. Good luck with your interview.

For this interview, this question won't be a problem (the company is a start-up so I have a million questions) But usually it is a stumper! When I am the interviewer, I am usually turned off by people that don't have any questions. Goodness, you might work here and you don't have ANY questions??

lol can you count to five. was reading this so seriously and then when i came to that question had to read it twice, got me confused early in the morning. another question that i hate cassidy is "can you tell me a little about yourself" i never know what to say and when im expected to stop talking. everytime i finish they still look like they were expecting me to say more. Depending on your job there are also job related questions like they might give you a situation and you have to tell them what you would do in that situation. I cant suggest anything because i dont know what you're applying for

Tell me about a time you had to gain the cooperation of a group over which you had little or no authority. What did you do? This one stumped me when I encountered it. I was not prepared for one quite like this one. I was dumbfounded, but tried to save the situation. I am not sure how I did with the answer, but I didn't get the job. :-(

Questions such as "tell me about yourself" or "your family" "How were you able to know about our job vacancy?" "What do you think you have that makes us decide to hire you?" "How much would be the salary that you are willing to settle for?"

How well do you work under pressure? Are you a team player? If yes, why? If no, why? How important is winning?

They will always ask about your strongest skills/atributes, and also something like 'What is your greatest weakness,' etc. Most people will tend to say that they are too much of a perfectionaist, but pretty much everyone uses this answers. An outplacement counselor advised us to say in response, 'I have no weaknesses that will prevent me from doing this job,' or something to that effect. Because that's what the interviewer is really asking--what weak points of yours might interfere with your ability to do the job.

Did you have the interview? How did it go? And did the interviewer ask a lot of the questions that came up in this discussion?

Hey, congratulations! 1 out of 3 people is a hell of a lot better than 1 of 400. Good luck! I worked in a job for 17 years, so that's how long it's been since I've been on a job interview. So I'm hoping that freelancing and Web-related work will hold be for a while. I did have some good outplacement counseling when I left my job, though.

I had #1 on Thursday, going back for round 2 on monday. NERVOUS! They really asked me a lot about my history, what I did at previous jobs and why I left. They did ask me to describe my perfect company, and then my perfect role within that company. I am just myself... and it's usually worked for me in the past. So far, nothing esoteric or psychological... Monday I get to meet more of the team and get a tour of the facility. It seems to be a great fit, but I know they picked (out of 400 resumes) their top 3 for a second interview, so I know I am not the only one.

What was a recent challenge you faced and how did you handle it? What would you do if you saw an employee stealing some office supplies? What do you feel you will gain from being employed at this company? What will you offer the company? How do you handle pressure/stress?

at your age shouldn't you have at least a lot of interviews already. I don't think the interviewer will you ask a lot.

I'll ask you some. Why did you leave your last job? What could you bring to this company? Where do you see yourself in five years and why? What's your best quality? What's your worst quality? Are you a people person? Have you managed others? If somone has a complaint, how would you handle it? Good luck!

If they ask "tell me about yourself," they don't want your life history. Just tell your experience as it relates to your ability to do the job. Classes, degrees, volunteer work etc.. They want to know your qualifications and what you accomplished. "do you work better alone or in groups"- this is a trap. Employers expect you to work well alone and groups. Both qualities are desirable and necessary. It would also help if you could tell us about the type of job your interviewing for. We could probably tailor some questions towards that.
