you get it from the disk. you might be able to download an OS replacing application. Do you have Windows M.E.? Why would you want 98. It sucks really really bad. Don't get it. I have Windows 98 on my old computer that I had for 7 years. It's also very slow. I would stick with ME or try getting Windows XP. I don't know if you can replace operating systems with a model that you don't already have running on your computer. I tried to update my old computer to windows xp, but it can't because it's running windows 98. I don't know if you can downgrade to 98.

No, you can burn it into a blank disk, and then use it. There's no need to buy the original disk =P
