Have any of you had a very quick labour and delivery? When I had my daughter i was terrified! The night before i had her i called my doctor to tell him that i had had some discharge with blood. he told me that there was no need to go to the hospital yet because i was in no pain. he also told me that in the event that my waters broke or if i started having contractions i would have plenty of time to get to the hospital. that night at 2am I woke up and instantly my waters broke. My husband (whom i later divorced) wanted a coffee so i made it. Then on the way there he had to pull over for gas. Then my mother wanted us to pick her up. On the way to the hospital which was 20 min away my contractions were coming every few minutes. I was panicing because i had the urge to push. Anyways to make a long story short, my daughter was born at 3:30am. I delivered in my clothes and sandals that i was wearing. They told me i was very lucky there was no traffic otherwise i could have delivered her in the car. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I had my daughter at 27 weeks, which is 3 months early. doctor's still don't know why i had her early she just was impatient and wanted to come out i guess. i started contracitons one monday morning, the next day my water broke and then the day after on wed. night i had an emergency c-section. she was 2 pounds 2 ounces. she spent 2 months in the hospital. she's 3 now and she is perfect. no medical problems what so ever. anyway mine was a long labour. 3 days in pain and worrying. it was auful until i saw my baby girl and then it was worth it.

Wow....With both of my daughters labors i got induced with my oldest and also got my water broke with both of them. You are soo lucky that you did in fact make it too the Hospital as well as the fact that you had such a brief , short and more simpler labor. I was in labor for 16 hours with my oldest and mild labor for a day and once they broke my water about 14 hours or maybe 12 after they broke it! I will always cherish both labors though regardless of the pain!! God Bless!!
