Have any of you had a very quick labour and delivery? When I had my daughter i was terrified! The night before i had her i called my doctor to tell him that i had had some discharge with blood. he told me that there was no need to go to the hospital yet because i was in no pain. he also told me that in the event that my waters broke or if i started having contractions i would have plenty of time to get to the hospital. that night at 2am I woke up and instantly my waters broke. My husband (whom i later divorced) wanted a coffee so i made it. Then on the way there he had to pull over for gas. Then my mother wanted us to pick her up. On the way to the hospital which was 20 min away my contractions were coming every few minutes. I was panicing because i had the urge to push. Anyways to make a long story short, my daughter was born at 3:30am. I delivered in my clothes and sandals that i was wearing. They told me i was very lucky there was no traffic otherwise i could have delivered her in the car. Anyone else have a similar experience?
