IM on the depo shot for birth control....any advice?

hi im 22 and im on the depoprovera shot for birth control. For the past 3 weeks every morning when I wake up, i bleed like aheavy period. It only does it that one time a day...i was wondering if anyone else has this happening or any depo stories....my doctor thinks its normal but I dont. PLe ase help me if you can.

If your doctor says it's normal I would trust his decision he is an expert in these things. I didn't bleed heavily but I know different people have different side effects. I would be worried if it continued to bleed for another 3 weeks. I was also on the pill and I had no side effects. I didn't even gain weight. Well anyway if it was caused by the shot then I wouldn't get it again.

hey im on this, it's a 3 monthly needle isn't it! ouch! lol! when i first started getting it this happened to me what your facing, and my doctor said this is normal yes but i went back again and got microgynon ( the pill) to stop the bleeding and it worked, when the bleeding stopped i stopped taking them! they can't harm you as you have had the needle and taking them at the same time, it just stops the flow and next time your due for your injection you shouldn't get anymore bleeding, well it worked for me! hope this helps!

Ummm....is there no w2ay your on your perios and i ts just a built up over the night. i soemtimes get that
