Were you spanked as a child?

I was spanked as a child, but not often. Mostly it was the corner and time out for me. I'm not sure how I feel about this issue. It didn't effect me, I don't hold it against my parents, I don't lash out and hit when I'm angry, nothing. I never found it to be abuse and they never really hurt me. It didn't even really effect me emotionally, it just taught me not to do whatever I did again. Now, I definitely disagree with slapping any aged child in the face or anywhere but their bottom. If you were spanked as a child, how would you say that it effected you? Do you agree with spanking and to what extent?
