Being a social studies student learning to become a pedagogue I am obligated to do so. I feel like children need to be protected by the people around them if for some reason their parents aren't able to do so for a short or longer period of time. Kids are dependant and if we are not going to help who will? We can't and shouldn't close or eyes for child abuse.

Being a health worker, I have the duty to report it to the authorities. We usually report such cases to the social workers. It's always a great feeling to help.

Hell, if I see a child being abused I'll try and stop it first if possible. You bet I'd report it afterwards. If it's family. The first thing I would do is talk to the abuser and or other family members relevant to who this child is. See if they're willing to get help. If not then it would have to be reported.

that depends on the gravity and circumstances surrounding such offense. There are things which shouldn't be reported at all because it can cause more problems. Rape and incest are grave transgressions and should be reported to the authority which will take care of the case without causing gossips that will stigmatize the family.
