We are so occupied in developing the IQ of our preschool children. We wanted them to excel particularly in their academics even at the age of 4 years old. Such as learning how to read, write properly, add etc... But do you think they are ready for those pressures? Shouldn't we develop first their EQ before giving then the rigor of a formal schooling?

We can feel when children are ready for this development. They are well-behaved and you can get the attention needed when you are starting developing ther academics. On the other hand if you think they're not yet ready, then the best thing to do is to slow down a bit. We can't forced them otherwise they will end up miserable but that won't mean we will stop. Slowly we can introduce to them and they will in turn accept. regards
