South Africa is fast becoming one of worlds most visited holiday destinations. It is easy to understand why, what with the diverse cultures, the architecture, the beaches, the beautiful people, the climate and so much more. South Africa's coast line is ringed by beautiful beaches. However it comes as quite a shock to many visitors that the western coast line at least is invariably cold. The south atlantic takes its temperature from Antartic ice, and even wetsuits, are not enough to make taking a dip here a pleasant option: you will need a wet suit. The Western Cape's beautiful beaches start to feel the warming effect of the Indian Occean but except between November and March, are still more useful for jogging than bathing; occasional offshore whale sightings are some consolation. African safari is a popular tourist spot in South Africa.
