help me to know God's voice

I don't know that God speaks to us like you would to me or me to my children. When you have a relationship with Christ the Holy Spirit is with you always and you will hear a voice from within you. Sometimes it's almost like you are thinking the words but it's not you. When God speaks to me I get a special feeling, inside like no person could ever make me feel. To hear God you need to open your heart and soul and listen. I seem to hear God's voice most when I'm in the garden or some nature, on a lake, in a park, early in the morning.

Sometimes God's voice is audible, and sometimes He deposits messages into your spirit. The closer you come to God, the easier it is to recognize His voice. Pray to God, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to know His voice. There's nothing like hearing God speak to you. Sometimes His voice is a mere whisper and sometimes it's strong and sharp, but it is always filled with love.

The Bible is the very speaking of God. So you need to read His Word to know His very speaking. To hear God's voice, we need to exercise our spirit. We need to come to Him day by day. Have an intimate relationship with Him. The best time is in the early morning, before doing anything else. Spend time with the Lord. Spend your best time, that is in the morning, to converse or pray to the Lord and reading the Bible.

Jesus says I am the Good Shepard. He says that my sheep know My voice and the voice of the stranger they will run from. After you've said what you want to say to the Lord, then just get quiet and listen. No matter how long it takes just be still. His voice doesn't have to be audible you can have a thought and that's Him answering you. I've had audible responses from the Lord but i don't expect them all the time because He tells us to live by faith. He also tells us that if we ask for an egg He wouldn't give us a snake. So thank Him for the answer.

hello cliff19id! i used to wonder about it myself until i experienced God "speaking" to me in a very unexpected way. Now i believe He speaks to us in different ways. Ive posted about it in my blog site www.xanga.com/boggs. I would've wanted to post it here but im still a newbie I can't do any pasting on here yet. Anywayz, im sure in His time you'll "hear" his "voice". :-)
