some parents just dont realize it but they try to make their kids grow up way to fast is this you?? yo may not even notice it but simple things like making them change diapers and make bottles when they are only 7 yrs of age is just pushing them to hard. kids should be kids not forced to do our jobs. do you feel as though you do this?? if not what are your outlooks on it??

I don't think things like asking your 7 year old to get their brother or sisters bottle a bottle is making them grow up to fast! asking them to help out is what they should do. making them grow up to fast is exposing them to things they should not see.

My kids are already grown up. I think older children should be able to help with a few chores around the house and this might occasionally include caring for younger brothers and sisters. If they are given the sole responsiblity for these jobs, that is a different matter, but it is a parent's job to see that kids are trained to be able to do household tasks. If you wait until they are 15 or 16 and suddenly start requiring them to help around the house they will resent it much more than if they were taught from a very early age that everyone in the family shares in the tasks of the household.
