When I was reading this book I wanted to reach the end as soon as possible, but when I reached the end I was very sad because I hadn't any more pages to read.

Have you read the sequel yet? World Without End? I haven't read it yet, but it's on my list. I gather it takes place 200 years later.

Yep, agree. It´s a great book. I read it years ago but still remember it. A good, historical novel. I can only recommend it.

I've read many of Ken Follett's books. I agree that Pillars of the Earth is the best. I read it many years ago for extra credit in an english class where we were studying medieval England. I liked it so much, I went out and bought a copy, which is still on my bookshelf today. This is the novel that got me interested in historical ficton.
