i am in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend who lives in another country. he gave me this wonderful 5.30 in the morning call for valentine's day. i was surprised! and i love hearing his voice again. after the call, i went online and chatted for another couple of hours with my boyfriend. and it was fun. getting a phone call from him and chatted with him for two more hours. for us, we call our chats a date. an opportunity to be together even when ocean's away. don't get me wrong, i did not cheat on my boyfriend. i always value his trust and i am always loyal on him. the second person i dated and had dinner with was my bestfriend for 12 years. she texted me and asked me to have dinner with her last night since she does not have a boyfriend yet. we had fun having dinner while listening to a band playing love songs. i really had fun yesterday! and it was so great! how did you all spend your valentine's day?

i haven't celebrated valentine's often. usually, i don't have a boyfriend on valentine's day. or sometimes, i ended up breaking up with someone weeks or months before valentine's day. well, that's life. but now, even if we're in a long distance relationship, we tried to make this day worth remembering. and we succeeded.

Well, I worked in the office as every day till 1pm My boyfriend made the dinner by the time I arrived home!! He never made before!!! I am sure that he bought the fried chicken in Tesco:DD But it was kind. He made rice with mexian vegetables- it was saltless:DD It was funny when he rang me up at my work place, that how many minutes must the rice been boiling. He was very very hungry but he was waiting for me. It was very kind of him. I also received a little elephant statue. I need seven elephants. I have 3 till now.

Thanks a lot. The fheng shui says that 7 elephants bring the richness to your home. I can't wait. But I do not want to buy 7 elephants for once. So I only collect them.

hello there!. wow how sweet of him to call you first thing in the morning to greet you!. it is really vital in a relationship to be able to communicate, be it friendship or romance.. yur valentine's was nice.. i however stayed home and spent my valentines day in bed.. i didnt go to school and thats my way of celebrating valentine's day!. i deserve a holiday too.LOLS.. anyways my hubby came here late afternoon and we just sat around and watched tv. pretty much the normal routine that we always indulge in. not interesting and i didnt even expect anything from him because i know i have nothing to expect. so why hope?. hahaha. i sound bitter and yes i am bitter because i didnt want my day to be lost just like that. but there it goes. and it can never come back. hahaha. i hate it.

That is wonderful to hear that you had a wonderful Valentines Day and got to talk on the phone with him and then chatted online with him. Have you two met each other yet? I hope that you two are able to get together in person and have a wonderful relationship together. It was also nice to hear that you had a nice time with your girlfriend. My valentines day was spent in the dark due to a severe ice storm yesterday. Most of my day yesterday was spending time with my neighbor and helping each other get rid of the ice on our cars and on our doors. I always enjoy spending time and talking to my neighbor even though we are not dating.

What a great idea to spend valentines day with your best friend since she is single and you are away from your bf. I actually spend most of the day at work, and so did my boyfriend. We both finished at 9 at night. We had decided before that we would not celibrate that much since we have our one year anniversary coming up in just a few days - but he had bought me three red roses, we had dinner and watched a movie - just cosy in the sofa =)

it's nice to watch movies in the sofa with someone you love. so simple yet so serene. and three red roses, no matter how old school it is, it still makes women giggle. that's so sweet. and oh, advance happy anniversary? is it the first? i hope you two goes a long long way. i am happy for you. and yep. it's nice to spend a dinner with my bestfriend since we might not spend valentine's day in 2 or 3 years. i will be going to sweden already to be with the man i love. and finally, we can celebrate our valentine's day really together. and as for my friend, i hope she finds true love so she can spend the next valentine's day with his "valentino".

Hmmm.. valentines before were memorable to me. First Valentine with my boyfriend was memorable because it was first one we shared as boyfriend girlfriend even if we were oceans' apart. We just first met each other 5days before that and spent a week together. Next Valentines was a day he proposed marriage to me. The day were i cried and cried out of happiness of course. And i wouldnt stop crying too and laughing at the same time. Almost couldnt say yes because i just cried and cried. That was one year ago. A real surprise because i never knew my boyfriend to be the type to propose on valentines day at all.:) This Valentines was our first as married couple. We still didnt spend it together. No real treats or anything. My husband always believed it was just one of those ordinary days. But we tried to make it special. Sent me an ecard. And showed me a box of chocolate which he ate anyway since i cant. I sent him a song thru email and told him its something that i felt like for him. And i secretly sent him a real card too which i think he still hasnt received since i never heard about it from him. trust our Philippine courier huh? All in all our day was great. usual talks and chat on video and voice. Laughing and being sweet.:) it was indeed just another regular day where we continuously profess our love for each other.

that's a sweet story in many valentine's day that has passed you both. and still, here you are, strong together even at times when you are ocean's apart. yep. courier's system here in the country is really difficult to predict. my boyfriend sent me something weeks before and still hasn't reached me until now. i hope next week maybe. haha! i sent my boyfriend a card and a letter, too. which reached him on time. well, that's life. so unpredictable. and as for you and your husband, i am happy to know that you two are doing well and great! just have fun even when apart. stay true and loyal. and take care!

Going out with a nice friend is not cheating. But my husband and I went to a friend's Valentine wedding. It was very sweet and we had a good meal and a nice time with everyone. Better than staying at home or spending money elsewhere!

When I first read your topic I was shocked because I really thought that you were in a relationship with two person at the same time. Your situation is quite like mine. I also have a girlfriend oceans away and we only chat sometimes. We hardly call each other but we are still madly in love with each other. So on valentines day I did not have my valentine with me but I spend it with my friends.
