How many of you say "I will go on the computer for an hour". Then 2 hours. then 3 hours. then go........oh $#*#@@ it's 2 am. I really need some sleep. Do the hours fly by on you too?

I'm way ahead of you there! it's 5.30am here and I haven't gone to bed yet... my internet connection is fast only when everyone else in the dorm is asleep so I basically synchronized my biological clock to that! I now am nocturnal and am asleep when the net is slow and everyone's wake.. I spend like 10 hours on the internet per day! I feel time's passing so fast and I'm living an empty life! hehe

ohh...who doesn't do that?!?!? I will get on and say to myself, "I will just do this one quick thing and then I will wash the dishes, do the laundry and mop the floor." Suddenly it is 2 hours later and nothing has been done! Then my boyfriend comes home at 330 and he is like, "what did you do all day?" And I don't know what to tell him because I ended up spending like a total of 5 hours doing this and that. And yet it seems like I am never keeping up! I don't do it late at night anymore because then I wake up way too late in the morning...it's closer to afternoon then!

I do that every night. I tell myself that I have to go to bed at a certain time, but end up staying up at least a couple of hours past that. The internet is an addiction, but I don't see that cause any harm except sleep deprivation.

Luckily my part-part-time job allows for this since I only work 3 days a week. I do find that I have to force myself to go to bed at night most nights, because I want to stay on the computer. I write a lot and I most of it I consider working on my hobby, but I do post here and in other forums, and I love the internet. I have found that if I say an hour or so past normal bedtime three or four will pass and I might not go to bed until 4 or 5am.

Oh I do this all the time..Mylot addiction makes it all the worse. Last night I was so tired I could barely read the words on the screen. It was 1am, did I go to bed? Hell no I stayed here another 2 hours. By the time I went to bed I only had one eye open...lol I almost stepped on my new puppy and was walking like a drunk..hehehe I guess we just don't know when to quit...good luck here in mylot.

I'm so bad about staying up and talking to my boyfriend online (he's on the East Coast right now) that I actually had to force a bedtime on myself. I haven't had a bedtime since I was 12 years old. I found that I wasn't getting nearly enough sleep and barely sliding through my workday - usually fueled by three or four iced kickers from the local coffee shops. I don't spend as much time with him now but it's better because I'm not exhausted all the time.
